Following Bukola's story reminds me that prevention is better than cure.

As the assistive features are deliberated upon, some and perhaps many of the disability cases may be preventable at birth.
May the deliberations feed-forward too into prevention rather than reactive mode, even if this is not a medical convention. The goal should be "no-need for assistive devices for a generation to come".
