As KeNIC's AGM is about to kickoff at the Sankara today morning a few questions are worth asking at the function:-

1. What is the status of the new envisioned KeNIC with CA as the licensing body?

2. The community would like to have a copy of the report by the consultant with the recommendations of the new dispensation and which organizations would form or be party to the New IANA Agreement. (Unfortunately this is not something that can be wished away and the community does have the right to know all the details).

3. What came of the cancelled meeting by the CA that had invited the new stakeholders - ICTA, KENET, DRAKE and TESPOK that was supposed to be held on the 15th of September? Was another one held?

4. A subsequent meeting by the CA inviting ICTA and TESPOK to handover the CA mandate to ICTA was called without the other two stakeholders being invited (DRAKE & KENET). What are we to make of this? And what transpired during the purported handover?

5. Lastly, any new Board of KeNIC MUST take into consideration a composition that includes Independent directors who are able to steer the New KeNIC without encumbering it with vested interests.

To all the Stakeholders
This is an ernest appeal to you to ensure that this particular phase of KeNIC's life is navigated with caution, transparency and natural justice. Up to the time when the September 15 meeting was called all seemed to be going on well. Let's ensure we continue in the same vein.
