The Kenya Internet Governance Forum (KIGF) working group was formed on
10th May 2014. The IGF has tentatively been scheduled for Thursday 3rd July
2014. The venue shall be communicated later.
The Working Group is inviting all stakeholders to participate in the IGF
process. You are therefore requested to propose Themes, Sub-themes/Topics,
and panelists for the IGF.
So far, the suggested Themes and Sub-themes are:

Connecting Counties for Enhanced Multistakeholder Internet Governance.
Suggested Sub-themes.

1. Data Protection Act and Privacy
2. Human rights
3. Improving quality and cost of Internet (Access)
4. Cyber Security,
5. Net Neutrality,
6. Diversity, Equal participation of all stakeholders, based on the "multi
stakeholder" policy development model.
7. The Integrated Public Safety Communication and Surveillance System.
8. Internet as and engine for growth and development
Your active participation is highly appreciated.
The Ninth Annual IGF Meeting will be held in Istanbul, Turkey on 2-5
September 2014. The output of our National, Regional and Continental IGF
will feed into the Global IGF.
The Global IGF Theme is: Connecting Continents for Enhanced
Multistakeholder Internet Governance
Global IGF Proposed Sub Themes:
1. Policies enabling Access
2. Content Creation, Dissemination and Use
3. Internet as engine for growth & development
4. IGF & The Future of the Internet ecosystem
5. Enhancing Digital Trust
6. Internet and Human Right
7. Critical Internet Resources
8. Emerging Issues
