One line stands out -

'....Yeah, it’s embarrassing for ICANN. Doubly so because it’s been beaten by a company so incompetent it accidentally applied for the wrong gTLD.'

Not sure what happened here and not to seem disparaging to the appellant, I think this will eventually go through. Its unlikely that a Geographical gTLD will go to private company where the AUC backs the current winner.
