The computer can spell check but cannot chose the 'right word'. What Catherine has raised is important especially today when media practitioners are attending World Press Freedom conference at KICC.
Among the issues that have been raised is the quality of stories. Stories are printed with glaring grammatical and syntactical mistakes that can be corrected with thorough editing.
Cost cutting measures have robbed media of copy editors who are deemed as non-core and this may be one of the factors that has led us to this situation.
