Well written article (I usually don't say that).
I haven't been to Nigeria yet but here are the main advantages Kenya has:
1. Security - apparently it's even worse in Lagos than Nairobi
2. Officiousness - Visas are really hard to get
3. Electricity - Major money goes into diesel since the electricity grid is
so bad
However, the big takeaway is that in Nairobi, it's not like evaluations on
any of those 3 dimensions are high - it's just that the competition is so
weak.
Nairobi might be the center of African technology in 2020 or it might not -
but it's Nairobi's to lose.
