Internet Society's remote hub to the NetMundial in Nairobi
The future of the Internet will be discussed at the NetMundial meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil, 23-24 April 2014.
For those who cannot travel to Brazil, 33 remote hubs around the world have been identified in 22 countries to enable greater participation of global citizens and the general public through real time interaction with conference events.
ISOC Kenya Chapter applied to be a hub and was successful. You are warmly invited to join us in the conversation at the iHub, 4th floor, Bishop Magua Center, Nairobi.
The 6 hour time difference between Nairobi and Brazil means that we may not be able to engage for the entire duration of the conference, but we will follow the most interesting and feasible sessions.
The NetMundial will bring representatives of governments, the technical community, academia and civil society, will focus on crafting globally recognized Internet governance principles (a ‘Bill of Rights’ for the Internet) and proposing a roadmap for the further evolution of the Internet governance ecosystem.
