I posted this call for nominations on the IGF MAG list. I think it would be good if the National and regional IGF?s would also submit some names for consideration.

Under-Secretary-General Mr. Wu Hongbo of UNDESA has issued a statement on the MAG renewal process for 2014. The hard deadline for the submission of names is 1 December 2013.  

For organisations that submit groups of names on behalf of a stakeholder group (or subdivision of a stakeholder group) some documentation stating  the selection process would be appreciated.

I would be grateful if you could publicise the announcement  to your respective stakeholder groups.

Yes there should be multi stakeholder approach, I think we need to
diversify the approach by including new people and groups.

Dear All,

Just to clarify, the national and regional IGFs are not a group per sei for the purposes of MAG selection. We are still keeping to the defined stakeholder groups.

However, stakeholders engaged in the regional and national IGFs are free, as anybody is, to nominate candidates for the MAG.

We would like the IGF community, including the regional and national IGFs, to assist in propagating the MAG renewal announcement.
