Neither am I an expert in early childhood development. My ideas are just off-my-finger-tips...hoping to stimulate other and better ideas like yours below :-)  We are crowd-sourcing for ideas that we hope can feed into the  government strategy paper on this laptop project - irrespective of whether it does exist or not.

You are really selling our kids short:-)  I am no expert in children's learning so I did some research and see 155 skills that std 1 pupils can expect to learn here:
