Dear  Wambua, 

Thanks for your sustained communication/updates on this stakeholders forum.  It is a matter of concern that -to the best of my knowledge- there have been no formal invitations to stakeholder groups. Or is it only the Kenya Correspondents Association which has not been sent any formal invite? I have taked to other stakeholders and I see some engaging you here indicating that there has been no formal invites. Is this the way the Task Force want to operate? I am sure the first thing they did, or ought to have done was to map out stakeholders.

PUBLIC NOTICE
STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTATION FORUM ON DEVELOPMENT OF POLICY AND LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORKS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ARTICLE 34 OF THE CONSTITUTION
The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology has established a Working Group to align the ICT sector policy and legislation with the Constitution of Kenya.
 
The mandate of the Working Group is to develop a draft policy and bill for the implementation of Article 34 of the Constitution and to undertake consultative meetings with relevant stakeholders and members of the public on the draft proposals.
 
In this regard, the Working Group has developed a draft ICT sector policy and a draft Kenya Information and Communications (Amendment) Bill.
 
The Working Group is scheduled to hold a Stakeholders Consultation Forum on 9th July 2013 at the Kenya Commercial Bank Leadership Centre - Karen to discuss the draft regulatory instruments. The Forum will kick off from 9.00 am.
 
The documents to be discussed can be accessed electronically from:

ICT sector members and the public are welcome to attend the Forum. Interested members can confirm their attendance through ICTRegulatoryFramework at cck.go.ke latest 5th July 2013 at 12.00 pm.
