Hi,

Moses took the Israelite out of slavery in Egypt but he only saw the promised land from afar, the struggles of your parents was to see you better off than they where.

Cofek has taken us out of Egypt it is time they accepted that they would be lost in Canaan.

Regards

PS.  I have the memory of an elephant and an appreciation for Google.

Why is everyone trying to rebuke COFEK for their stand? Don't we all know and verily agree that it was only COFEK who went to court in the interests of the consumers who couldn't afford the Set Tob Boxes? COFEK's other argument was that the switch off/over was untimely as it's the electioneering period

That "CCK is in support of involving all industry stakeholders like broadcasters, government, other consumer lobby groups, the Digital secretariat and
vendors" is blatantly wrong!
None of those went to court to stop the switch-off Analogue Brodcasting (which was starting with NBI anyway) as they were ALL READY for the switch-over.

Kenyans, (and now listers) with their known selective amnesia are now calling upon COFEK to involve "stakeholders". These stakeholders already supported the switchover. They did not raise any finger when this was being effected.

We should try and live outside our selective amnesia!

Kudos, COFEK - you are the only entity entitled to negotiate with CCK!

So I am to understand that COFEK was not representing consumers and stakeholders but itself? Why would it seek to block out broadcasters, vendors etc?

>>Negotiations between Communications Commission of Kenya and Consumer Federation, aimed at agreeing on a suitable date to switch off analogue Tv transmission, failed to take off after fresh disagreements arose between the two parties.
>>Cofek yesterday snubbed a meeting between it and CCK citing involvement of outside parties contrary to court orders. In a ruling on January 11, High Court judge Isaac Lenaola directed the CCK and the consumer lobby group to negotiate on an agreeable new date, saying the initial December 31 date was untimely and improper.

>>CCK is in support of involving all industry stakeholders like broadcasters, government, other consumer lobby groups, the Digital secretariat ans vendors in the new date deliberations. However, Cofek said it should be the only party to negotiate with CCK since it was the only one that sought legal action.
