Since when was a landline company a 'crown jewel'. It's 2013 and that
company should just be left to fall apart on its own.
In the US, only 1 in 4 households will have a traditional landline by the
end of the year:

I presume the Kenyan rate is far below that but it seems like the focus
should be on fiber and LTE and not worrying about dinosaurs like Kenya
