Daktari,

I will not join my colleagues in wishing you well. And I will not accept
your (flimsy) reasons for not strongly contesting your right to continue
the good work you have been doing. My advice, put up a good fight, and it
at the end of it all another candidate is chosen, you can rest assured that
you did your best (as you have been known to do) and move to other things
with a clear conscience.

Uko katika maombi zetu - the "dark forces" can be very intimidating, be
strong.
