[kictanet] [Skunkworks] New KenInvest Website

Dear Boinett,

.ke is the best way to identify Kenya to investors just like .uk for UK and
.ZA for South Africa. There is no better international outlook for Kenya
than our identity.

So you are in the right direction. Get a .ke

Regards
Sammy

Thanks all for the feedback and suggestions. I will surely follow up on
.co.ke <http://co.ke> domain issue. The gTLD has been in use for a while.
We had an argument on the same with our colleagues and the decision to use
the gTLD was based on the argument that we have an international audience
and we needed to give the IPA an international outlook and presence (you
will notice that most Investment Promotion Agencies IPA's use gTLD's not
ccTLD's) however there is absolutely no harm in obtaining a ccTLD to
compliment the gTLD.

Have a great day.

³And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to
execute, more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to
introduce a new order of things; for he who
introduces it has all those who profit from the old order as his enemies, and
he has only lukewarm allies in all those who might profit from the new. This
lukewarmness partly stems from fear of their adversaries . . . and partly
from the skepticism of men, who do not truly believe in new things unless
they have actually had personal experience of them.²

1984, p. 21.)
