The notion that a .com extension provides a more global outlook is now a tired one... (Sorry for being blunt) especially for country specific agencies like Kenivest. We must become more country centric and be proud of who we are as a country.

A ccTLD speaks volumes although subtly on the confidence that we have in our own country. As the Swahili saying goes 'Mcheza kwao hutuzwa'...

We had an argument on the same with our colleagues and the decision to use the gTLD was based on the argument that we have an international audience and we needed to give the IPA an international outlook and presence (you will notice that most Investment Promotion Agencies IPA's use gTLD's not ccTLD's) however there is absolutely no harm in obtaining a ccTLD to compliment the gTLD.

I hope Norman will consider my humble request :-)) who knows what the ripple effect of keninvest.co.ke would mean to the local registrar community, after all we are a brand, the best runners, the best tea, the best groundnuts, the best milk (Tuzo Sirkal) the best Sugar (Mumias Ingwe), need i say more.
