It is not possible to excuse the 40 who did not show up after confirming
attendance. However, with only two days notice to adjust our schedules it
was likely that a great number of those who would have wanted to be there
to observe would be left with no choice but to follow proceedings via the
kind updates of those who did make it. The questions may have been late but
as a community I see nothing wrong with finding ways of accommodating
remote participants even though KENIC made no such arrangements.
