Interesting!!

This 'campaign' here reminds me of how 'we want to see our own
(professionally) making it to the DG post.
As a 'mwananchi wa kawaida' my views would be more of a pedestrian, literary.
Just as Grace Bomu has said, what matters most is not who, but
professionalism - someone who will crack the whip against the errant
radio stations, put service providers to task and above all, follow
the law to the letter.

Sometimes when you look at retired (and very tired) political
appointee declaring an interest in governorship, because the fellow
thinks of nothing save the title, forgetting that all positions -
women representative, county leader, Senator, Governor, MP and even
Presidency - are all about service delivery.

About the common man interrogating the law, I think there is nothing
like that, because a few civil society organizations have assumed the
role of the 'unofficial opposition', in the absence of one in the
Parliament. The local mwanachi has not yet understood the
constitutional implementation process, because politicians have
hijacked the whole process - and their silence, means they are likely
to disappear into the oblivion.

My mwananchi thoughts.

:-)
