Amos Wako recently pointed out that protocol keeps technocrats who are
privately or quietly seeking / promoting reform from making public
pronouncements about it. Some of these non technical tender committees that
are most inclined to the lowest bidders should note, that knowledge is not
cheap. A system that works today WILL be non functional tomorrow because the
underlying technology has been compromised / overtaken by criminal events /
crackers. One could be using a version of Linux or Windows or a Web
Framework that is not patched or that has been abandoned for others that are
easier to extend or secure for a period of 5-10 years. If any tenders will
be awarded to political companies, let it be to supply stationary, not
software that requires in depth knowledge of particular technology
eco-systems...

We are here for your bidding :)
