Grace, and All

I agree that this will be an interesting one  to watch in relation to freedom of expression, and where an individual's rights stop viz a viz to other peoples rights. 

I would also like us to see if there are any linkages with the online e-discussion were were having before the IGF on management of records, and the fact that people have been concerned about issues of language and typo errors in our newsprint. I was wondering what it means that most of our records are in english and whether this may pose a challenge to a number of Kenyans. Please feel free to contribute on this. 

Grace and listers, could we kindly discuss the following?

·         What does the term ‘Freedom of Information’ mean?
·         What misconceptions are there relating to this term?
·         What law(s), if any, govern Freedom of Information?
·         What steps has the govt. taken to ensure that a freedom of information law is passed?
