mmh, after more than 5yrs of digital existence, someone has finally managed to "rattle" the PS! 

Nway, I have been offlist and must have missed the flare up.  But reading through the email history methinks this Edwin Onchari a.k.a the activist may not be ill-intentioned and should really join the Yawe convened f2f meeting based on the political theory that says: Keep your friends close and your "enemies" closer (worked for Obama and H. Clinton :-) 

However, for Dr. Ndemo I quite appreciate how it does get depressing when you work hard but people only sound out the negatives...but that is the price one has to pay for being a public servant. The solution is to develop a thicker skin and stay focused. Five, Ten, fifteen years later when you are gone, the same people will see the light and say OK. Now we know.

I do not arrive at such conlusions just like that.  A number if listers interested in digital villages have written to me off list  sayinhg that they cannot participate in a meeting with "activists" and in applying the utilitarian theory, it was only fair to propose uninvitation.

Edwin can see me anytime for clarifications of any kind.

With due respect, I have read Edwin's emails and to me they sound more of a cry
from a frustrated industry player seeking to understand why certain things occur
the way they do. He may not necessarily be right in all his conclusions but I
think it gives KICTB a chance to correct wrong perception or provide more
information (as Paul has)on areas that are not clear to some industry players.
I would like to believe that such clarification will enable the industry to move
ahead with one voice and understanding.
In my view, uninviting Edwin does not answer his queries.
I think he has a lot of good ideas for the industry.
Give him a chance.
