[kictanet] Who is ICT Board?

Hi,

I have heard of the Coffee Board, Sugar Board and many others and I am quite clear on their objectives and mandate but the ICT Board is an amorphous creature that keeps changing in shape and form every time I interact with it.

As was once said about the immediate past president and his private secretary "where does Moi end and Kulei begin" the same needs to be asked on where does GIT/e-gov end and KICT Board begin.

They build perimeter walls, recruit consultants, train on general entrepreneurship, procure software, manage projects for ministry, source land & many others. Is this a coordinating body, a policy maker or a "nyapara"?

As Walu said their seems to be a conflict of interests which is causing more confusion than clarity, can we please get a clear picture of this animal before it devours us all.

On another level, I think the link provided by Walu gives an insight on what ICT Board is all about. Methinks we should get to Bw. Kukubo to further explain to us on ICT Board is exactly!!!
