Hi Rebecca,

IMHO i think that ISPs will remain unaffected as long as they dont have
validating resolvers or DNSSEC aware Recursive Servers (the servers that
clients use to do DNS lookups).

However, immediately they enable validation (turn on DNSSEC on their
recursive servers) then operational challenges will be experienced as
mentioned in the article.

Theres an awareness issue here similar to the process undertaken with
IPv6, where operators and consumers alike need to be conscious of the
emerging technologies and whether the newly acquired hardware/software
actually supports it. In this case do they support EDNS0 and IPv6.
