[kictanet] Policy Reponses to Copyright Infringment via Internet

Dear Listers,
 
“ISOC Public Policy Working  Group on policy responses to copyright infringement via the internet”
 
(i)        Seeks to Ascertain what specific policy responses to copyright  infringement via the Internet have been implemented, adopted or  proposed in various counties and identify relevant source documents;
(ii)    Some examples of policy responses are: cutting off internet access, filtering, setting monthly download limits, taxes  etc
 
A sub committee covers Africa and the Middle East. It is however difficult to obtain information regarding Africa. 
 
Please share any personal knowledge you have on any of these responses on the continent.
 
If the moderators allow it could begin a debate on what policy position Kenya should take.
