For those who are interested in the exciting fibre developments for the
region this year, AITEC is holding a Fibre for Open Access conference in
Nairobi in June. We are in the process of developing the programme and the
Call for Papers is attached. Presentation proposals would be welcome.

Happy new year African fibre folk!

Haven't given up hope on the African fibre mapipedia.  I found a basic
map on an ITU presentation of some East African fibre links.  Grateful
if someone could validate or even expand on them.

P.S.  No doubt most have seen the France Telecom announcement of the
