Dr Juma was passionate about his work. You couldn't draw a line between the job and and hobby . His was a rare commitment and for those of us who had a chance to work under him, it is difficult to imagine a fitting boss for the e-gov docket. I recall how he would get frustrated when you start explaining some delay, "I am not a civil servant", he would retort, "civil servants like processes". Yet at the end of the day, Juma was more of a loving brother than a boss. He loved to help people do their best. 
The burial will be in Siaya on 14th Feb. There will be a Funeral Service on 14th. I will update you all with details soon,

This is truly shocking and quite untimely (from a selfish and human point of
view). We have indeed lost a truly humble, dedicated and distinguished
academician and civil servant.
