telecoms sector regulator that is managing the

venture of the Kenya government and the government of
the United Arab Emirates."

"The $110 million project is owned by Kenya government
 has formed a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) TEAMs
Limited through Telkom Kenya Limited, which has a 40
per cent stake while UEA government holds a 20 per
cent stake through a telecom company known as
Etisalat.

The remaining 40 per cent shares have been reserved
for private investors in East Africa. Standard
Chartered Bank, the lead financial arranger, is
working on the modalities of bringing private
investors on board."

Finance, the Attorney General’s Office and the
Ministry of Information."
