[kictanet] Useful information on your response to earthquakes: ICT and Natural Disaster Management

My take on the issue of disaster preparedness and response is that we should
move beyond raising awareness and sensitization of Government Officials and
come up with concrete proposals and initiatives on the same under a  PPP
framework. Maybe this is an area that corporates can explore as part of
their CSR programs. For example, in any emergency, the first thing that gets
chaotic is communications. How about a cross-sectoral CERT-like team
specializing on coordination of communications in an emergency?
