KICTANet is pleased to announce a 2-week Online
Deliberation of the recently published Internet Study
referenced below.

The Objectives of the Study include:
•	Appreciate the Levels of Internet Use & Penetration in
Kenya 
•	Understand the reasons behind the prevailing levels of
Internet Use & Penetration
•	Interrogate the Recommended Interventions for improving
Internet Use and Penetration
•	Promote discussion and consensus regarding the
Recommendations

The specific tasks/program outline are:
•	Internet Study-Background Concepts/Overview – 1day
•	Internet Study-International & Domestic Bandwidth Usage –
1day
•	Internet Study-Hierarchy of Providers (IBP,ISP)  – 1day
•	Internet Study-The Statistics on Infrastructure – 1day
•	Internet Study-The Statistics on Affordability – 1day
•	Internet Study-The Statistics on Dispersion – 1day
•	Internet Study-The Impact of the Recommendations-3days
•	What is the way forward/Conclusions – 1day

We hope to be 'on-air' starting next Monday 23rd April 2007
and ran through Friday 4th May 2007.  Plse read through the
published study and we hope to get your lively
participation on the same next week.  Your comments will be
collated and forwarded to Regulator for consideration.
